LIFUS and Cessna 525
LIFUS should be performed in accordance with ORO.FC.220 and AMC1 ORO.FC.220(e). Furthermore, GM1 ORO.FC.220(d) provides guidelines for operators to use when establishing their individual requirements.
Line Flying Under Supervision or simply Line training is a training required under some certain circumstances:
- after initial type rating training course on Cessna 525
- transition to different variant of Cessna 525 for which the difference training is required
- introducing new variant of Cessna 525 into the fleet
- as a part of so-called Operator Conversion Course
- as a part of Commander upgrade course
- when changing the Cessna 525 operator
The number of line training en-route sectors to be completed under the supervision of a line training instructor are depending on previous experience of the pilot. The LIFUS line training is completed by a Line check on Cessna 525.
When completing initial type rating for the CE-525 M2 or the CJ3+, a minimum of 10 route sectors of LIFUS / SOE / Familiarization Flights should be performed.
When completing differences training from any other CE-525 variant to the CE-525 M2 or to the CJ3+, a minimum of 2 route sectors of LIFUS / SOE / Familiarization Flights (one as PF and one as PNF) should be performed.
LIFUS commercial operations Cessna 525
If the Cessna 525 is operated in commercial air transport, the duration of the line training is required by Regulation Ec 965/2012.

LIFUS - SPO and NCO MPO Training
If the Cessna 525 is operated in so-called non-commercial operations under single-pilot operations concept or multi-pilot operations concept the line training - LIFUS is established in Operational Suitability Data of Cessna 525. Also in this case the previous experience of a pilot matters and reflects the complexity and duration of the line training. In case of non-commercial operations, the line training on Cessna 525 is so-called Supervised Operating Experience - SOE.
Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) may be established in accordance with Part-FCL, FCL.720.A(g) through the operational suitability evaluation.
